Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaja Kallas discussed issues related to the consistent implementation of the Armenia–EU strategic partnership agenda

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Vice-President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The interlocutors discussed issues concerning the consistent implementation of the Armenia–EU strategic partnership agenda.

A detailed discussion was held on the substantive preparations for the upcoming Armenia–EU summit to be held in Yerevan in May. The importance of implementing programs aimed at delivering tangible results for Armenian citizens was emphasized.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaja Kallas also discussed initiatives aimed at continuously strengthening democratic resilience, which form an important part of the value-based Armenia–EU partnership and strategic agenda. In this context, agreement was reached on ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of existing mechanisms to support democratic processes.

The Armenian Foreign Minister and the EU High Representative highlighted the importance of implementing mutually beneficial programs to promote economic and transport connectivity, as well as cooperation in the energy sector.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
